Sunday's Message

Birthday Party Weekend

Good People--Birthday girls Hetti and Margaret. Their husbands and all their friends.
Good Food--Hetti hosted her own party (a German tradition). I am glad! Some really tasty food and Eric did an excellent job on selecting the wine. Norm provided a container of German beer--hmmmmmmm. For Margaret, her boys planned a surprise at Jim/Nick's BBQ. Talking with some people we have not seen in awhile was better than the food.
Good Exercise--walked the dog in 10ish degree weather and a northern wind.
Great Retirement--Not having to drive to work in the snow in the morning.

Winter Park Fun 1/6-19

Good People--Friends for a long time--Steve and Cindy.
Good Food--Chianti from Italy, Kolsch beer from Dry Dock Brewery, pizza and chocolate was just what we needed for a Friday night. Dinner at Tabernash Tavern Grill--could have been the best meal I have out in some time. They have 8 or so entrees from various countries--I had a steak over pasta stuffed with mushrooms and 5 cheeses, Steve had pork tenderloin over pumpkin puree, the girls had piaella-everything was very very good and the Chime Pinot was a very tasty compliment.
Good Exercise--we took a 2 hour snowshoeing hike with a Ranger from Rocky Mountain National Park. The day was beautiful!
Great Retirement--a retiree should have come home on Tuesday but we beat the traffic by coming home at mid day Sunday.

Happy Days are here again

My dead PC is WELL!

It took about a week of tinkering on my own with my pride of thinking "I can figure out how to do this". I finally called Dell support and 3 1/2 hours later I am up and running. He led me through reloading my operating system. I lost all my settings--thank goodness I have a back up drive. I was almost at buying a new computer--patience is a virtue and pride/ego is sinful.

Lessons learned--always backup EVERYTHING, beware of tools that will clean up/speed up your PC and when you do clean it--do a little at a time, call support ASAP.

SISW

SISW--Shade, Ice, Stop (if you can), Walk! Almost 70 yesterday except in the shade. I took a nice 1:40 ride.

70 today--rode on the road to our church--No SISW. SIS Wa!

KJ, I understand your comments about the trails and ice and NO LEGS.

Trouble in river city!

My posts will be far and few between for awhile! I did a dumb thing--I was cleaning my computer and cleaned a little too much, now I can't boot it. I have been working on it for several days with no success. I have contacted several several web site and a couple of my trusted computer advisers, they say "buy a new one!"

More later when Jan let's me on her's.

Tebow

Good People--Tim Tebow is my new favorite quarterback. According to the TV reports he is an outstanding young man. Anyone that proclaims that he is a Christian with John 3:13 on his eye glare marks is my kind of guy.

Good People--Sam Bradford, he showed his native american upbringing--quiet leader and humble.

Oklahoma gave me an up and down football season. I feel for coach Stoops.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Good People, Good Food, Good Exercise and Great Retirement was had over the Christmas and New Year celebrations. It was special to have all our young adult children home and to visit with our friends.

For awhile I may have to leave off the Good Food--I had too much, lately. Thanks to all that provided it--I loved it as evidenced by my weight gain.
