Fire Hydrant 5K

Great People--family!
Good Food--At the race we all liked the trail mix--especially Kortney. I liked the Starbucks and lemon pound cake later, after the race. Later, Paul and I watched the Nuggets playoff game from one of our favorite Ft Collins bars--The Trail Head. They are noted for their cheese fries--you gotta get some, especially after a run. AND, they are one of the very few if not the only bar that has Nitro Cutthroat beer (dark and really smoooooth) on tap from Odell's brewery or you can go for the EasyStreet wheat. Across the street from the Rio.

Then we walked down about 2 doors and dined at Austin's, good steak, burgers etc. Our meats were alittle tough, but we ordered sirloin instead of a New York. The BEST food (other than the cheese fries) was at Olive Garden's for chocolate dessert--Amanda, Kortney and Paul all raved about their desserts--and they were right on. The only problem was lots of sugar late at night--the buzz was on. just in time for bed. They have their own wines--next time.

Mother's Day, we all attended Crossroads church and had brunch at Chipolle's ?????, I'm not sure of the name, but it is an Italian restaurant in Loveland, a better dinner than brunch place. They served their breakfasts in pasta bowls--see what I mean.

Good Exercise--Amanda ran with an "available for adoption" dog-Yoshi, Kortney ran with her dog-Maddy, I ran with Sadie and mom had to run/walk by herself. Paul (Kortney's husband) is on the injured reserve list--sore back (too much running with his middle school track team). Yoshi is a boxer mix, Amanda thinks he may be part husky or some sort of sled dog because he pulled her the entire time. She was the most tired of all of us, she had her brakes on most of the time.
